Moonshawl
The moon, obscured by very little now that the rain's brought the rest of the leaves down, looks like it's wearing a shawl. Even my squinty nearsighted eyes can make out the craters from this good bit away, and the shadow wrapped around the top edge there appears to be made of the softest finest black yarn.

Yarn? Did someone say yarn?
No, really, love the description. I've been dealing here too with the sudden loss of leaves.
Oh, and what will your blog be named once Saturday hits?
We could combine forces, Mere, and create a new blog called "Right at Cambridge then Left at Portland" I'm looking to bring in the Megin demographic, which would double my regular readership. My people will make you an offer.
Wait, is he calling me Left?
Well, yes, but the whole point of the blog will be to undermine the validity of the divisive one-dimensional axis of left and right. We will show that people should not hate each other over such simplistic labels, and we'll model much more complex, sophisticated ways of hating each other.
